This can vary according to the length and strength of the hair, and whether it has been previously shaved. However, here's a rough guide:

First Brazilian/Hollywood - 30 mins
5 wk Braz/Hollywood maintenance - 20 mins (can take as little as 12-15 mins!)
Full leg & Brazilian - 70 mins
Half leg wax - 25 mins
Underarm wax - 15 mins
Eyebrow shape - 20 mins

This is one of the most commonly asked questions! So let's clear it up.

Bikini line - This is just the hair in the crease of the thigh that can be seen on the outside of a standard bikini. It is the hair that is visible on the front of the thigh as you stand up looking straight ahead. It doesn't remove hair from underneath towards the buttocks.

High Bikini Line - This removes hair from the crease of the thigh and further inwards by about 2 inches (or as required) in order that hair is not visible if you are wearing a high cut bikini. It also includes hair from further underneath and around the inside of the thigh towards the buttocks (so hair would not be visible if you were sitting cross-legged for example).

Brazilian - This is all hair removed from in-between the buttocks, and every hair from the perineum, bikini, labia, and pubic area with the exception of a small neat strip or triangle of hair left on the pubic mound.

Hollywood - Exactly the same as the Brazilian but absolutely no hair left back or front!

Hot wax (or peelable wax) has a caramel-like consistency and is applied then left for a few moments to set to a rubber-like texture before being peeled off along with the hair. It shrink-wraps around the hair and is therefore great for coarse, stubborn hair or areas or harder to reach parts of the body (such as intimate, nostrils, underarms etc).

Hot wax is much kinder and more comfortable and we use only hot wax for our intimate and underarm wax treatments.

Strip wax generally has a fluid-like texture and is applied very thinly. It doesn't set, and is removed swiftly using paper or fabric strips. It is an extremely efficient way of waxing larger, flatter areas such as legs, backs and chests.

This is one of the most commonly asked questions! So let's clear it up.

We have special secret tricks to make sure your wax is comfortable and relatively pain-free! Most clients are really surprised at how comfortable it is, and they keep coming back. For more reassurance about our brilliant technique please read our client reviews.

There should be little or no regrowth for the first 11-14 days after your wax treatment. The hair then slowly begins to break through and you'll be ready for your next wax after about 5 weeks.

We recommend waxing every 5 weeks for the very best results. We offer a special 5 week maintenance wax which is at a reduced price as it takes less time (and wax).

Because they make more money the more often you come in.

In our experience, waxing too frequently causes:
- Problems in getting all hair removed as not all the hair is through and long enough for the wax to grip
- Stress to the skin resulting in pimples, rashes and general discomfort
- Interruption to the hair growth cycle - you want all the hair to be through so all the hair can be removed!

Let it grow. You'll be glad you did.

Hair needs to be about 1cm long in order for the wax to grip the hair and remove it effectively. This is about the width of your little fingernail. It's especially important that the hair is at least this length if it has been previously shaved. This is because shaved hair is usually tough and coarse and therefore the wax needs to get a thorough grip in order to lever the hair out. We recommend waiting 4 weeks from your last shave.

We always advise that you leave about 3 days between waxing and going on holiday to give your skin a chance to settle down. Any redness or soreness needs to have subsided before you expose your skin to the sun.

Yes. If you've never had a wax treatment before, it is always a good idea to have a trial wax a few months before a special occasion so that we can be sure your skin responds well and that you have no particular sensitivities. It will also mean that you'll be more relaxed as you'll know what to expect and will have met your therapist before your big day.

Remember that you will need to leave 5 clear weeks before your special occasion wax, so aim to book the trial one around 10-11 weeks before.

You will only need to have a patch test if you have any known allergies or skin sensitivities, or have had an adverse reaction to waxing at some point in the past. If you would like a patch test or are unsure as to your skin sensitivity we would encourage you to have a test 24-48 hours before your treatment. The test takes just 5 minutes and is free of charge.

If you have any form of contagious skin condition we are unable to wax the affected area until the condition has cleared up. Sunburnt, chaffed or broken skin cannot be waxed until it is completely healed. Clients who are taking Roaccutane will need to delay having a wax treatment until at least six months after completing their medication. Skin that has been treated with steroid creams, Retin-A, Differin or any other retinoid acne products cannot be waxed for three months after the course of treatment has been completed.

We ask for a 50% deposit when a client is booking in with us for the first time. We also ask for a £20 deposit for any treatment over £60.
